Welcome to the Markham-Stouffville
Weekly Update for August 25, 2019

2019 Ballantrae Summer Games
Last weekend we had a great time attending the 2019 Ballantrae Summer Games!
From Golf, Tennis and Water Volleyball to Timed Chess, Crokinole and Darts, there was something for everyone during this week-long celebration and demonstration of fun and community involvement.
I am already brushing up on my Sudoko for the 2020 games….

Let's GO to the EX!
Take the GO this summer to the Canadian National Exhibition! GO Transit will be running special Stouffville line train service on Labour Day Weekend (August 31-September 2) to take you and your family to the midway, the Canadian International Air Show and more. Remember, kids under 12 ride free! For more details click here.
Markham-Stouffville Provincial Youth Council
I'm pleased to share that I will be convening the first Markham-Stouffville Provincial Youth Council. The Youth Council is an opportunity for youth across the riding to provide feedback and input on how the Ontario government can better serve them.

Applications are now open! If you are in Grade 9-12 and would like to apply, please click here.
Road Safety
Of course you know the rules for safe driving – everybody does.
Whether you’ve been driving for 30 days or 30 years, it’s good to stay up-to-date on new rules and remind yourself of old ones. Click here to learn more.
About the Riding

The provincial riding of Markham-Stouffville was created in 2018 and is made up of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and some parts of the City of Markham lying east of Highway 48, McCowan Road, and the Rouge River. In Markham we take in the communities of Dixon Hill, Markham Village, Raymerville, Cornell, Box Grove, Locust Hill, Legacy, and Greensborough, to name just a few.
