What are the responsibilities of the three levels of government?
Municipal – Road maintenance, garbage collection, local bylaws, animal control, police, ambulance and fire services, libraries, parks and recreation, municipal property taxes.

Provincial – Birth/marriage/death certificates, driver’s licence, health cards, Ontario Works (social assistance), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Employment Standards (lost wages, severance), student loans (provincial), GO Transit, Family Responsibility Office (FRO).

What are petitions, and how can I have my issue addressed in the Ontario Legislature?
A petition is a document that is addressed to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and signed by at least one person. It asks the Legislature to act on or change its position on an issue. A petition can be submitted by an individual or a group.
