Making Ontario Open for Business Act

Today, our government introduced the Making Ontario Open for Business Act. If passed, it will reduce red tape & regulatory burdens on Ontario businesses, while looking out for the health & safety of workers.

We are modernizing the apprenticeship system to ensure that Ontario creates better paying jobs. Changes include lowering journeyperson to apprentice ratios to a 1:1, winding down the Ontario College of Trades, and pausing the increase to the Minimum Wage so businesses have time to adjust. Our message is clear: if you are prepared to do the work, you deserve a shot at the job. Our gov’t is getting out of the way of job creators & making Ontario #OpenforBusiness.
